What about Evolution?
The theory of evolution as we know it was first publicised by a man named Charles Darwin in his book 'The Origin of Species' in 1859. Since then it has gained increasing popularity in schools and universities across the world and it is now the dominant theory of human origins. However this was not always the case. Before that time most people in the UK, the USA and other places believed that God created the world in 6 days in the manner that is spoken of in the Bible.
In the last few years there has been considerable interest in this debate and much scientific evidence has come to light in favour of the Bible’s account of the creation and as a result many have begun to question whether the theory of evolution is really valid.
When I speak of evolution in these articles I am referring to the idea that life came from a group of chemicals and then grew in complexity over billions of years to produce all the variety of plants and animals we see in the world today. I will try to keep these articles simple but this is not always possible, as many of these issues are very scientific.
