I grew up in a family who loved God and where I was loved and taught the Bible. When I was just a young lad I heard about the story of the cross, and that Jesus had died for me. I had to realise that I was a sinner who deserved hell fire, and that every lie, every disobedience, every jealousy, every wrong thought or action had to be paid for. I learned that though I was guilty and deserved God's judgement, Jesus had paid the penalty for me at the cross. I asked Him to save me and forgive me for my sins. I knew that as the Bible promised I was saved and given a new life - I was born again. There were many things to learn but, as a young lad, I knew that I was saved for eternity, because Jesus had died instead of me.

I grew up to learn many things about the Bible and am still learning. I learned that I should be baptised and be a disciple of Jesus - to live to please Him. I have often failed Him but He has never failed to help and support me. I have for many years worked in the building industry (a carpenter by trade) proving God's help each day. He has given me a wife who also loves Him, and lovely children. I meet with Christians who also love the Lord Jesus and try to follow the Bible's teaching. With His help I want to to tell other people about the wonderful salvation He offers and about His goodness and love.

There are so many people around who have been deceived into believing that Science has disproved the existence of God, which is totally false. There is therefore a prevailing attitude that Christians are a group of people following an outdated idea which is out of touch with reality. Sure, that is what Satan wants them to think! The fact is completely the opposite. Knowing the One who made the universe and this world and all we see around us gives us the starting point to understand what life is about: why we are here and where we are going. Because the media is so intent on pressing the myth of evolution it is hard to make people understand the truth about God and His Son. I would recommend that everyone takes the trouble to find out about the facts that show that the theory of evolution is hopelessly flawed and to look once again at the claims of God in the Bible.

Looking forward, the Bible teaches me that Jesus is coming soon to take all the Christians to heaven and that is what I am looking forward to and hope that you will be ready to go too rather than waiting for God's judgement!

The Bible has the answer!

Jesus said My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John ch 10:27-28

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John ch 5:24
